Azrael's Character Forge Empty Azrael's Character Forge

Post by Azrael Tue Aug 27, 2013 6:18 pm

Guess I'll start off my rather unique list of character applications/biographies with the most relevant one: myself. And without further a due, here it is: (current W.I.P)

~

Name: My name is simply Azrael
Age: Somewhere past a thousand, I can't be bothered to remember long enough, but I don't look a day over twenty one
Gender: I'm Male. Pretty sure of it
Race: Uh, I'm immortal. I'll tell you that much
Sexuality: Heterosexual, but I support the actions of others of different sexualities
Class: Simply put, I am a Warden, or otherwise called Gatekeeper

~

Appearance: Not much to be said, but I guess I could give some detail. I have messy unkempt snow white hair which does a marvelous job at obscuring my eyes, but it doesn't obstruct vision, not in the slightest. However when being formal I'll simply part some of my hair to the right, leaving my left eye in view. My eyes aren't the most normal, not with black pupils, black sclera and gold irises. I have somewhat of facial hair about my chin and jaw line, cleanly trimmed and groomed and white like my hair. My face seems rounded, slightly oval-ish, if that's how people describe faces.

My body type is lean-built, slightly muscular since with my profession I'd need to be (mostly) balanced in physical composition. I stand somewhere around six-foot-four, never slouch and above other things, I don't look smug. I keep up my appearances so I wont be taken for something that I'm not. My canines are sharp and tend to glimmer, much like a wolf, although I don't necessarily take too much kind to them. I wear simple black cargo pants, a gray t-shirt with black lines running vertically on it, a pair of white sneakers and black fingerless gloves. I don't exactly dress to fit my class but it's not like anyone really knows what my abilities ensure. And finally, over it all, I don a long dark cloak with long sleeves and a red interior, as well as with a chin-high collar.

~

Physical/Racial Abilities

  • Immortality through age
  • Immunity of toxins/poisons
  • Vast Physical Augmentation
  • Slow Regeneration
  • Flight without wings
  • Strong Will

Class Abilities

  • Creation of Elemental Chains (whipping, binding, defenses, etc. / Length and size can vary)
  • Sealing Magic (Sealing things and beings in objects, done through chains)
  • Dynamancy (Lightning Magic)
  • Gate Magic (traveling to places through summoned doors)
  • Unholy Magic (creation of nightmares, Nightmare Shape-shift, etc.)

~

Personality: I guess you can call me patient, to an extent. My tolerance for most people is pretty exceptional, but some people have the innate ability to bypass all of that, much to my chagrin. I'm very friendly so long as you respect my boundaries, and quite adventurous to say the least. I have a tad OCD problem, but don't mind it. It really isn't going to determine whether we're friends or not, just determines if I should kill ye now or for another time *warm smile*

Azrael's Character Forge Empty Re: Azrael's Character Forge

Post by Azrael Sat Aug 31, 2013 4:06 pm

A very old, yet very detailed biography of one of my more favored characters, 1/3 of a trio of Dracomancers:

Character Name: Terorahron Lector
Alias/Nickname: The Black Basilisk ; Fūjin
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Human

-----------

Appearance:

Spoiler:

Terorahron is an average-appearing human with caramel brown skin, a lean-built body and overall an athletic and fit physique. He keeps a calm demeanor despite unwanted circumstances. Terorahron has soft sharp green eyes, shoulder-length unkempt white hair and is surprisingly blemish-free. His canine teeth are much more sharp than other humans, mutated from living with a dragon the majority of his life. His nails are sharp as well, but not outstretched like claws. Terorahron has a black tattoo depicting of a moon on his back, giving a hint to his affinity

Clothing: Terorahron dons a white crew neck shirt with a red collar, black formal pants that just reach over the knees with a few chains hanging from the pockets and belt straps, black fatigue books and a black pea coat with thick grey spiky fur trimmings around the neck and the sleeves' edges, draped on him like a cape. On his legs are silver vambraces and solarets and poleyns, and his arms covered by vambraces and gauntlet cuffs and pauldrons with a black moon on it. All that he wears is made of a mineral with iron-like properties but also are electric insulators. He also has bronze and black headphones that play all rock, metal and dubstep songs which are also electric insulators
Weight: 164lbs
Height: 6'2"
Voice:

------------

Class: Dracomancer - The pinnacle of raw power, the Dracomancer is a mage who has been taught the abilities of a dragon by a dragon or another Dracomancer and utilizes them in mid-close range combat. A Dracomancer possesses many of the attributes of dragons themselves, such as augmented physical strength, speed, stamina, durability, heightened senses and wisdom & intellect. The body of a Dracomancer slowly adapts to the teachings by a dragon as well as their magical aura, in a sense mutating their bodies. This is the cause for their augmented abilities as well as a larger magic reservoir and the ability to use an elemental breath attack which costs little to no mana as their body is warped to the point of using this ability on par with a dragon's own. A Dracomancer also has the ability to heal themselves with their respective element by absorbing it through their body by shaping the element into an permeable aura that seeps into the body. Experienced Dracomancers can develop the ability to take on a partial transformation into a dragon called Draco Aeternitate in which they take on various traits of a dragon such as scales in common cases but extreme cases can include whole limbs becoming that of a dragon such as their arms or legs and in rare cases wings and tails. Only the most elite and almighty of Dracomancers can fully become a dragon. Draco Aeternitate amplifies the destructive capabilities of a Dracomancer to the point that their destructive power matches that of powerful dragons and what the transformations and abilities gained in this form reflect on the dragon that taught them their magic. Draco Aeternitate can only be invoked under dire circumstances, usually when a Dracomancer is close to death

Dracomancers taught by other Dracomancers cannot use Draco Aeternitate and aren't seen as true Dracomancers. However, they aren't as weak to dragonbane than their True counterparts, and in most cases take no affect from dragonbane. These Dracomancers are dubbed Draco Novitius. Those of this class seem to have an edge over True Dracomancers because they can actually incorporate dragonbane into their attacks which can make dragon slaying an easier task. Those Dracomancers who use dragonbane are considered enemies towards morally good Dracomancers. Evil Dracomancers are the most shunned as they have slain their own dragons to absorb their magical power, making themselves more powerful naturally than normal Dracomancers. Good Dracomancers can call upon the power of their patron dragon for a limited time, may he dragon be dead or alive and augment their abilities to match Evil Dracomancers. True Dracomancers have a weakness to dragonbane, and although it isn't as dangerous and lethal to them as it would be to actual dragons, it weakens their magic greatly in the vicinity of it. Also as what would be expected a Dracomancer also has the natural weakness to their opposite element. A Dracomancer can kill another Dracomancer and absorb their magic and gaining dual elements. However, the Dracomancer will naturally use their primary element more and be more efficient at it since it was the magic they learned first. Dual-elemented Dracomancers cannot absorb polar opposite elements (I.E Fire and Ice or Light and Darkness). However, they inturn gain the weakness to their second element, even if they do not use it
Weapon(s): (Remember your class)
Spells:

True Dracomancer: Cyclone - Terorahron can use the abilities of a Cyclone (Wind) Dragon inside and outside of combat. Said abilities include free flight, generating compressed razor-sharp wind and emitting wind from any part of the body. Cyclone Dracomancy is generally seen used among those who use healing and supplementary/support spells than the other Dracomancers. However, although it isn't the number one in offensives, Cyclone Dracomancy is the most easy and most versatile to use since air is just about everywhere. Cyclone Dracomancy's destructive capabilities are only second to Fire, but is weak to Earth

Draco Aeternitate - Terorahron can use this exceptionally advanced ability of Dracomancers that allows him to take on a partial transformation into dragons, boosting their destructive capabilities. Terorahron takes on unique traits of the dragon that he was taught by: Shi'thkara the Great Cyclone Dragon (see image below). Terorahron, upon activating this, lets all his armor pieces fall off and he himself takes off his pea coat. His magic aura forms an effigy resembling his dragon for a short moment in time, to exemplify his power. His arms gain thick scales that start from his hands to elbows that are the same color of his skin. His nails extend to claws, patches of scales form on his face, his eyes become solid white, and his canines grow broader and sharper. His abilities are boosted as well as heightened senses for a limited amount of time and once it's over Terorahron won't be able to use his magic for quite some time. During this time he is able to use these abilities:

Vanquishing Empyrean: Galestorm Mach-5 - Terorahron gathers air violently around him swirling into an open circle before his body. He grabs the ring and compresses it in his hands and releases it in a blast from his hands. It lessens in speed the longer it takes to travel to the enemy, which won't take long to slow down

Vanquishing Empyrean: Sancitfied Purge - Terorahron gathers air that continuously draws itself into a sphere that grows in size as more air draws itself into a point in the middle until it becomes the size of a basketball. Terorahron then leaps high into the air and sends the sphere down, which will explode with raw wind power, covering a wide range

Vanquishing Empyrean: Silencing Vectorshot - Terorahron races for the enemy and rapidly spins into a drilling cyclone drill that impacts the target. The air explodes upon impact, but leaves Terorahron slightly injured

Skills and Abilities: (Stick to realistic abilities within your class)

Cyclone Dragon's Bellow - Terorahron lets out a tornado blast of compressed air that can blast back objects and opponents. If using Draco Aeternitate the wind can be focused into what one would consider "a giant bladed spearhead" as the wind is compressed into sharpness and can cause severe gashes and flesh wounds. It can be used in conjunction with fire to increase the flames, as well as disease and lightning to cause a wide AoE (area of effect)

Cyclone Dragon's Vermillion Slash - Terorahron jumps in the air and spins with his arms outstretched, causing wind to manifest around his arms that fuse into a blade, making him a speeding, bladed bullet

Cyclone Dragon's Wing Barrage - Terorahron places his hands outwards, making him look like a cross. Wind gathers on his arms from shoulder to wrist and shapes into feathery wings in the fashion of eagle wings. Terorahron then rushes forth and assails the enemy with multiple strikes before ultimately releasing them as violent wind columns

Cyclone Dragon's Boreas - Terorahron gets in a crouched running position and gathers wind violently at his feet. He then releases the compressed wind to send him propelling towards the enemy. During this time he gathers compressed wind around his fist and punches the target causing them to be thrown back a good distance

Cyclone Dragon's Gaping Maw - Terorahron gathers wind around his hands and forms them into spheres the size of his head. He rushes at the opponent and opens his hands and arms as if it were a mouth, in turn extending and expanding the wind. The two expanding masses are then slammed together on the enemy or used to push back multitudes of enemies

Cyclone Dragon's Vorpal Scales - After gathering wind around his fingers Terorahron makes swiping motions at his enemies sending scale-shaped wind particles at an opponent

Cyclone Dragon's Healing - Terorahron simply places his now glowing hands on the target's forehead and applies healing magic to purge the target of poisons and other negative supplementary abilities but only one

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant - Those of this rank show complete mastery of melee combatand can take on multiple enemies at a time. They can even match speed with Expert Swordsmanship Specialists

-------------

History: Terorahron grew up in a village just beside a gigantic foreboding mountain in a large valley. For as long as he could remember his parents warned him, and other children in the village, to not go up the mountain. For the first eight years of his life Terorahron followed the rules... until he went to a village party. He followed some groups of teenagers up the mountain but got lost inside the mountain. He stumbled around lost and alone and soon began to cry. All this commotion awoke the dragon that presided and owned the valley. The dragon roared out but Terorahron didn't run away. This intrigued the dragon, and he questioned him for several hours

Terorahron was never seen for ten years, and was presumed dead. Shi'thkara trained him to be a Dracomancer embodying his element: wind. Terorahron grew up in a region that dragons were feared and persecuted, but Shi'thkara was humble unlike the other dragons. Terorahron left the mountain on his eighteenth birthday and returned to the village that he grew up in at night and visited his parents in secret. He told them that Shi'thkara was raising him and that he was leaving the Valley in the morning. They hugged their son, all grown up and mature, and proud of his accomplishment.

In the morning he donned the custom tailored attire Shi'thkara wore when he took a human form and left with the dragon out the Valley and traveled the world towards the Draco Lusus Equester, a tournament that initiated newly made Dracomancers needed to take to be known officially to other dragons that they were Dracomancers of their dragon's region. Terorahron had to defeat other Dracomancers as he went along, some battles easy but others grueling. He made it to the final four, and was prepared to pass until he came across a Draco Novitius, a 2nd class Dracomancer that used Darkness. The battle was fierce, as was expected by the dragons spectating. However, the Draco Novitius, Sid, was able to use dragonbane, and once he began using it he made quick work of Terorahron.

Terorahron, although losing, fought on, and gave Sid a bad injury. The Darkness Draco Novitius then initiated Draco Aeternitate and proceeded with the all out offensives. Terorahron was more or less slaughtered and bloody, barely clinging to life. Before the final blow was struck Terorahron accidently and unknowingly summoned power from Shi'thkara and unleashed an incredibly lethal Cyclone Dragon's Bellow. The hit was enough to defeat Sid, but not kill.

The final battle was against a female True Dracomancer, who used Water and Ice. It was the most destructive of battles, as the fight took place on a small island arena. Terorahron had the air to help, and the Water Dracomancer, Pela, had the ocean. The battle was intense, more than with Sid, and both knew. Pela activated Draco Aeternitate and became a full humanoid water dragon and gave Terorahron the beatdown of the millennium. She got him into the water and left him to drown. Being mentally reminded to be strong and show others that Cyclone Dracomancy wasn't to be joked, and his parents' wish for him to return to them when he could. This prompted Terorahron to activate Draco Aeternitate for the first time, surprising both him and Shi'thkara. Well, after that, he defeated Pela with ease. He won, but demanded that all 100 participants become official Dracomancers. Seeing as Sid and Pela backed him up, the dragons obliged.

Terorahron was met by Shi'thkara in his human form and the two embraced. He was also stunned to see his parents there too. Crying and emotional tears ensued soon after. Shi'thkara now deemed Terorahron a Dracomancer at the concluding ceremony and told him that he was to roam the earth as he pleased, as Shi'thkara would return to the Valley to protect it. Terorahron nodded and thanked his mentor for everything before departing with Pela and Sid... for whatever life and the universe threw at them
Personality: Terorahron is considered to be very jovial and fun-loving and isn't afraid to speak his mind and is prone to talking back to authority, no matter the power level. Terorahron has patience to make wise old men seethe in anger, and could wait days for an answer to a question. In short, his persistence knows no bounds. He's somewhat protective of strangers, but will always defend against those who harm immediate close family / friends. Hurt them and you'll be regretting to have ever done so. Otherwise, it'll be a small talk and a good swing of water and having a swell time.

And here's the second:

Character Name: Pela Valesquez
Alias/Nickname: Pelly ; Water Maiden ; Suijin
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Human

-----------

Appearance:

Spoiler:

Pela is your average teenager-to-adult girl, having a moderate build, C-cup sized chest and a figure to match her being, good height and weight. She has fair skin, crystal clear blue eyes, soft blemish-free skin and apricot knee-length hair. Pela has a fun-loving and laid back demeanor that amplifiers her positive smile and appearance overall, even if she were angry. Her canine teeth are much more sharp than other humans, mutated from living with a dragon the majority of her life. Her nails are sharp as well, but not outstretched like claws

Clothing: Pela dons a black t-shirt with a small tear at the base, a full-body fishnet suit with black leggings and bra underneath. Over this are light blue greaves and vambraces along with gauntlets and gauntlet cuffs to match the greaves. She also dons a leather tasset. Pela also wears comfortably fitting boots that don't hinder her speed. All her attire custom-tailored so it won't hinder her in water. In fact it wont become wet when submerged, and will act like as if it were on normal land. The clothing do not hinder her magic in any way, all tailored by a mage
Weight: 121lbs
Height: 5'6"

Dual-elemented Dracomancers cannot absorb polar opposite elements (I.E Fire and Ice or Light and Darkness). However, they inturn gain the weakness to their second element, even if they do not use it
Weapon(s): A simple short sword
Spells:

True Dracomancer: Tsunami - Pela can use the abilities of a Tsunami (Water) Dragon inside and outside of combat. Said abilities include swimming in deep water for several hours, generating water currents compressed enough to cut rock and steel and emitting water from any part of the body. Tsunami Dracomancy is considered to be very overwhelming in the vicinity of large bodies of water and in general, only second to the intensity of Fire Dracomancy. Tsunami Dracomancy allows for more coverage and more after-effect abilities. Also, due to the nature of water, it's easier to pass through objects easier than most other forms, even air, which to a Tsunami Dracomancer makes attacks easier to connect. A Tsunami Dracomancer will show their true power, evidently enough, in the presence of water. Their attacks grow more massive and can cover a wide expanse much faster and with greater force. It can be matched against Fire Dracomancy quite easily but suffers against Lightning Dracomancy

Draco Aeternitate - Pela can use this exceptionally advanced ability of Dracomancers that allows her to take on a partial transformation into dragons, boosting her destructive capabilities. Pela takes on unique traits of the dragon that she was taught by: Nuvat the Great Tsunami Dragon (see image below). Pela, upon activating this, sheds her armor and leaves her i her normal clothes. She gains murky green scales all over her body, claws extended and canines extended and broadened. Her scales mimic that of Nuvat's own. Her most surprising transformations include her forearms and hands becoming actual dragon hands, the spitting image of Nuvat's own and the growth of wings. These wings help her fly in the air and increase speed when swimming. Her eyes become completely white as well. Her abilities are boosted as well as heightened senses for a limited amount of time and once it's over Pela won't be able to use her magic for quite some time. During this time she is able to use this sole ability. Since she is more passive she has only developed one:

Beautiful Oblivion: Crash-wave Vortex - Pela rapidly spins around, letting water from her body let loose and spin into a vortex with her as the epicenter. She then grabs the sides of the vortex, squeezes it and sends it rotating with twice the speed at an opponent, creating a large water torpedo to assail the enemy with sheer blunt force

Skills and Abilities: (Stick to realistic abilities within your class)

Tsunami Dragon's Bellow - Pela lets out a massive torrent of condensed water than has enough physical force to break bones if taken directly. If using Draco Aeternitate the water could be compressed into either a single paper-thin blast of water strong enough to cut rock or a much larger torrent of water that could in fact break more bones if taken directly

Tsunami Dragon's Typhoon Horn - Pela places both fists out towards the opponent. She then proceeds to let water spin around her forearms before shooting it at the opponent. They're twice the size of a large brick, and could deployed fairly quickly, provided she isn't interrupted

Tsunami Dragon's Freezing Scales - After condensing water around her fingers Pela sends them forth as fast moving projectiles that cause as much damage as a pebble moving at 30 mph, which would cause painful welts

Tsunami Dragon's Hurricane Fist - Pela forms a basketball-sized orb of water in front of her that, when punched, shapes it into a fast moving fist that explodes on contact. It can cause moderate to severe bruises depending on he area hit

Tsunami Dragon' Voracious Poseidon - Pela forms on her hands two trident-like water blades and makes an x-slash with her arms, sending them at the opponent. Upon impact it explodes with enough force to send an opponent flying if they were hit directly

Tsunami Dragon's Safe Journey - Pela envelops herself or anyone she touches in a air-filled water orb to travel underwater with. The orb is quite dense, and takes a good effort to break. However, the persons inside cannot use abilities that would mean exiting the sphere, such as a projectile attack

Tsunami Dragon's Healing - Pela can remove liquid poisons from a person's body if given enough space, time and concentration, but only one per try

Master Swordsmanship Specialist - Those of this rank possess absolute control over their sword type, demonstrating great speed, accuracy and power, and being capable of fighting several foes at the same time

-------------

History: Pela grew up by the great Kolkolos sea, a massive expanse of over 400,000 sq mi in surface area and 30,600 cu mi. It was known for its great fishing spots and boasting over 100 species of fish, not including indigenous species. However, there was a region to the south of the sea that was always covered in darkness and black clouds. Many had rumored that a great demonic beast resided there, the reason to all of the great calamities occurring in that specific area. Unfortunately for Pela's family, they were very poor and had a house smack-dab in the middle of the southern region on a small island just off the coast. Pela was always told to stay indoors while her parents went to the North for their fishing job. They were gone for four out of the seven days of the week, leaving Pela to take care for herself.

One day she decided to venture out on her own, when she was twelve. She never knew how beautiful the outside really was, even though there were black clouds and dim sunlight. Her fascination drew out the creature that claimed Kolkolos her own, a massive sea dragon named Nuvat. Nuvat was more or less a cruel dragon and wanted to devour Pela. So, she told Pela to come and take a swim with the dragon. If she could solve the dragon's riddle, Pela would be given a formal education. If she failed, she'd be eaten. Pela agreed with a cheery smile, which made Nuvat curious that the girl wasn't afraid of her. Instead of giving the riddle (which was impossible to answer nonetheless), Nuvat taught Pela how to breathe underwater. Weeks passed and Pela tried her best, but was only able to stay submerged for only 9 hours. During these hours Pela saw Nuvat's underground cavern home, filled to the brim with gold and riches beyond anyone's imagination.

When Pela became 14 Nuvat decided to teach her Tsunami Dracomancy, and much to the dragon's surprise Pela caught on very quickly. Pela was a smart girl, and quickly her knowledge grew to the point that her parents were aroused with suspicion. One day they decided to sneak behind the house to see what Pela was doing while they were gone. Nuvat, mistaking her parents for criminals, devoured them soundlessly. However, she was stricken with grief when Pela left the house calling for her mother and father. Nuvat decided to take Pela underwater, tricking the girl into believing her parents discovered Nuvat's training and decided for the dragon to take their daughter away for permanent teaching. Saddened to tears, Pela reluctantly left to Nuvat's palace to continue her training in peace. During this time she was able to learn the ability Draco Aeternitate and by the time she was 17 Nuvat took her to the Draco Lusus Equester to gain her right as an official Dracomancer.

The tournament was fairly easy for her, as she had her luck with the environment chosen to fight in, rather it be during the rain or in a lake altogether. When not in her fights she would watch other fights with fellow Dracomancers and dragons alike, taking note of two exceptionally interesting Dracomancers: Terorahron Lector and Sid Belfrost. When their fight came on she was expecting Sid to win, and saw Terorahron as an "inferior and weak" Dracomancer. However, during the match Terorahron managed to hold his own and keep Sid in his corner for the majority of the fight, and by the ending Terorahron won, displaying his true power as a Dracomancer, indicating that he was mentally holding back. The final fight was Pela herself vs Terorahron, and she taunted and humiliated him from the start to near end, as she viciously attacked the Cyclone Dracomancer with efficiency and speed and power. Once she had thought she had drowned him she rose to the surface of the ocean arena and declared winner. Terorahron's dragon, Shi'thkara, shouted that the element of wind shouldn't be underestimated. Much to her own chagrin, Terorahron activated Draco Aeternitate for the first time, and swiftly claimed a victory over her. She was upset and began crying that she was defeated, but Terorahron told her that winning wasn't everything.

Later on during the final judging Terorahron was declared winner, but as a shock he demanded that all participants be awarded official Dracomancer status. Reluctantly the Elder Dragons agreed, and everyone was promoted. Pela didn't know why Terorahron would do such a thing, but not a soul was complaining. At graduation and departure Pela looked for Terorahron to thank him. Luckily, she found him and Sid talking amongst themselves, and she asked if she could join the two on exploring the world, and maybe other worlds and dimensions. She kinda liked Terorahron but she absolutely adored Sid. Nonetheless, the trio set out for only God knows what awaited them in the world ahead
Personality: Simply put, she's determined to achieve her goal, no matter how intimidating she must be
